Clark County School District Board of Trustees
What is the Board of Trustees & what are they responsible for? The CCSD Trustees are decision-makers for the school district. Seven members are elected based on district; four are appointed representatives from the four largest municipalities in Clark County (Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of Henderson, and City of North Las Vegas). They are responsible for providing oversight to the Superintendent and establishing District-wide policy. Trustees are accountable to work with their communities to improve student achievement.

How often does the Board of Trustees meet? Trustees meet twice per month (second and fourth Thursdays) at 5 pm both virtually and at the Edward A. Greer Education Center Board Room (2832 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121).

Can community members engage at Trustee meetings? Decision-making bodies benefit greatly from hearing public input and multiple perspectives. Currently, members of the public can submit comments on agenda and non-agenda items through email or voice recording. Public comment can be provided in person, via email, or via voice recording. Email comments should be submitted to Boardmtgcomments@nv.ccsd.net. To submit a voice recording on items listed on the meeting agenda, call 702-799-1166. Voice recorded public comment is limited to 1 minute 30 seconds.

Trustees Approved the Consent Agenda (7-0 )
Consent Agenda Highlights:
- Approval to purchase goods or services in the estimated total amount of $5,140,439.33 in compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 332
- Agreement between CCSD and Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas to establish a collaborative project of mutual interest in the area of providing education opportunities for students
- Trustees approved the reappointment of Anna Binder and Joshua Robinson to the CCSD Audit Advisory Committee for a two-year term, effective July 1, 2028.
Trustees Conducted Interviews and Appointed Hoffman Madzou Moukassa to the Clark County School District Audit Advisory Committee for a Two-Year Term (5-2 )
Trustees conducted interviews of applicants to the Clark County School District Audit Advisory Committee for a two-year term. Trustees selected Hoffman Madzou Moukassa to serve a 2-year term effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028.
Highlights of the interview included:
- An important goal for this appointment was that the appointee have experience in governmental funding.
- The interviewees were Salah “Sal” Debs, global chief compliance officer at Interblock, and Hoffman Madzou Moukassa, financial systems analyst at NV Energy.
- Trustees discussed that both were highly qualified, with Sal bringing a long history of experience with auditing and compliance and Hoffman bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective.

Trustees discussed and approved the Notice of Intent to Adopt, Repeal, or Amend Clark County School District Regulation 7112, School Facility Replacement, prior to submission to the Board of School Trustees for approval on August 27, 2026.

Trustees Discussed and Approved a letter from the Board of School Trustees in support of iNVest 2027 Legislative Priorities (7-0 )
Trustees discussed and approved a letter from the Board of School Trustees in support of iNVest 2027 legislative priorities, and for the Board President to sign the letter so it can be submitted to the Nevada Association of School Superintendents, is recommended.
Highlights of the presentation included:
- Priority 1 is ensuring schools stay properly funded.
- Priority 2 is refining Nevada Senate Bill 460 to provide oversight, accountability, and also autonomy to schools where each is most helpful.
- Priority 3 is strengthening early student literacy.
- Priority 4 is improving Pre-Kindergarten funding structures.
