Local School Districts

District public schools in Nevada are governed by county-wide school boards, and make decisions about school budgets, policies, and curriculum. You can learnmore about your school district through the Nevada Department of Education’s website.

Public Charter Schools

Charter schools are tuition-free public schools, managed by volunteer school boards. All students are eligible  to attend public charter schools. Student lotteries may be held for charter schools depending on school capacity and current enrollment.

Magnet Schools
