Access public school performance data in English and Spanish to find a school, compare schools, and learn how your student’s school is performing. The School Scout Nevada Data Portal also has a number of resources and tools for families.

District public schools in Nevada are governed by county-wide school boards, and make decisions about school budgets, policies, and curriculum. You can learnmore about your school district through the Nevada Department of Education’s website.

Charter schools are tuition-free public schools, managed by volunteer school boards. All students are eligible  to attend public charter schools. Student lotteries may be held for charter schools depending on school capacity and current enrollment.

Magnet schools are unique public schools that provide students with specialized learning themes, such as arts and STEM, within the traditional public school system. These schools are operated by the local district and offer a dynamic learning environment.
