Trustees approved the written "Employment Agreement – Superintendent of Schools" between the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees and Mrs. Tiffany McMaster on behalf of the Washoe County School District pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 391.110.

o Admin/Central Services Offices (timeline: FY27-29) (Budget & scope decreased $108 million with these resources being reallocated to the school projects above).

Trustees Received a Presentation and Approved Amendment 2 for Renewal 1 of Request For Proposal (RFP) #90-P-01-25-AS for Food Service Management
Trustees received a presentation and approved Amendment 2 for renewal 1 of Request For Proposal (RFP) #90-01-25-AS for Food Service Management Company for a period of 1 year, beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027 to Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LLC in the estimated amount of $584,018 plus other reimbursable expenses such as salaries, benefits, food, and supplies costs.
Highlights of the program included:
- The national school lunch program is a federal program funded by Congress and administered by the Department of Agriculture.
- Nearly all of the nutrition services team are WCSD staff, and the Southwestern Food Service Excellence (SFE) team provides management support and financial analysis to support the outcomes of the program.
- The Community Eligibility (CEP) program, facilitated by the nutrition services team, provides low-income schools with higher poverty rates universal free meals (approximately two-thirds of WCSD schools are on CEP).

Trustees Received a Presentations and Approved the Continued Development of a New Restart Charter Contract with Sierra Nevada Academy Charter Schools (SNACS)
Trustees received a presentation and directed the superintended to continue development of a new restart charter contract with Sierra Nevada Academy Charter Schools (SNACS) with clearly defined termination terms based on the SNACS performance management plan, trustee discussion, and an improvement of index points based on staff recommendations, to include no delays on deliverables at any point within the next two years, and a 2% increase in fees.

If these conditions are not met by January 30, 2026, the SNACS charter will default to termination.
- Based on the committee review summary from the June 9, 2026 committee meeting, key areas for improvement were: Data to action, ambiguity surrounding how changes within the new academic model differ from prior practices, a call for increased accountability systems, a stronger staffing strategy to address high turnover, and corrections to inconsistencies in projections and debt analysis in the financial narrative that was presented.
