¿Qué es el Consejo de Administración y de qué es responsable? Los fideicomisarios del CCSD toman las decisiones del distrito escolar. Siete miembros son elegidos según el distrito; cuatro son representantes designados de los cuatro municipios más grandes del Condado de Clark (Condado de Clark, Ciudad de Las Vegas, Ciudad de Henderson y Ciudad de North Las Vegas). Son responsables de supervisar al Superintendente y establecer la política de todo el distrito. Trustees Adopted the 2025-2026 Superintendent Year One Performance Evaluation (6-0)

Trustees saw a report on Clark County School District’s progress toward the six high-priority goals the Superintendent and Board established in November, 2025 and adopted the proposed evaluation process.

Highlights of the evaluation process and presentation of the report included:

• Following the current meeting, the Board will begin a summative evaluation of the Superintendent, the results of which will be presented in the regular Board meeting on November 12th, 2026.
• The summative evaluation will involve Trustees rating the Superintendent’s performance on the past year’s selected five key targets related to the high-priority goals established by the Superintendent and Board, as well as recommending specific areas for growth.
• This year’s five selected targets were developing Pre-Kindergarten professional learning standards,implementing early literacy tutoring, developing professional practice standards for central office staff supporting the teaching of middle school math, developing standards for Career & Technical Education and Advanced Placement, and completing a revised District plan.
• Work on developing Pre-Kindergarten professional learning standards included providing training and feedback for educators, principals, and administrators in the 2025-26 school year and continuing to develop and implement guidance for principals and administrators in the 2026-27 school year.
• Work on implementing early literacy tutoring included providing professional learning to educators, after-school tutoring for students, and individualized support for schools in the 2025-26 school year and increasing access to literacy specialists and reading skills programs, as well as implementing guidance for administrators, in the 2026-27 school year.
• Work on developing professional practice standards for central office staff supporting the teaching of middle school math included strengthening professional learning, continuing to implement mathematics curricular resources, and providing resources to strengthen administrators’ supervision of middle school math programs in the 2025-26 school year and continuing to provide professional learning to support implementation of common semester assessments in the 2026-27 school year.
• Work on developing standards for Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Advanced Placement (AP) included building and strengthening Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for teachers of CTE and AP and developing CTE pacing guides in the 2025-26 school year and expanding PLC practices centered on data use, AP frameworks, and AP curriculum; increasing student engagement and student-led learning opportunities by strengthening CTE PLCs; and providing professional learning, including industry externship opportunities, to educators in the 2026-27 school year.
• Work on completing a revised District plan included a survey, interviews, and dream sessions; deciding on the priorities of academic excellence, career-connected learning and durable skills, and safe and supportive schools; developing key performance indicators; and securing $6.5M in private contributions to carry out strategies in the plan.

Trustees Approved Revisions to the 2025–2027 Negotiated Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association (6-0)

Trustees discussed and approved revisions to the 2025–2027 Negotiated Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association. There is no immediate fiscal impact from the changes.

The new agreement includes:

• Multi-location licensed positions may now be owned by a primary school, with the employee also working in a secondary school. Previously, multi-location positions could only be centrally owned.
• The secondary school will reimburse the primary school for salary based on the time the employee works at the secondary school.
• A multi-location position of this type will be contracted on a year-by-year basis.
• Extra duty pay can now be given for licensed employees performing noninstructional duties. This pay is at a rate of $30/hr.
